For over 2,500 years, Buddhist meditators have considered developing single-pointed concentration as the prerequisite for progress on the path to liberating wisdom. Shamatha is that step-by-step progression of meditative techniques for training our unruly and drowsy minds to be perfectly attentive to the present moment of experience.
Following the success of the recent Shamatha weekend workshop led by Douglas Veenhof, he is kindly returning to give a ten-day retreat. He will be giving a rare and profound series of teachings and practices to help take our meditative focus to a new level.
There are four options for this retreat; costs include food, rental, meditation teaching sessions and accommodation if staying overnight.
– Residential: $460 for 4-days, $983 for 10-days
– Non-residential: $340 for 4-days $623 for 10-days
