Get Unbusy: Defecting from the Cult of Busyness

A 4-week MWC Course with Charu Ramesh

Get Unbusy

This four class course draws upon texts like the Ashtavakra Gita, Bhagavad Gita, Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life and the Yoga Sutras, to help us loosen the grip of busyness on our lives. We will look at what fuels our compulsive busyness, how to generate some breathing space and explore how we can discriminate between productive and unproductive actions.

The structure of the four sessions is as follows:

Class 1 – Defining the problem

The problem with being busy, why we are so busy.

Class 2 – Getting organized

Differentiating between effort and laziness, Understanding the motivations for taking action.

Class 3 – Mindfulness in action and in refraining from action

Class  4 – Acting freely with wisdom

The right way to act and its potential to free us from suffering.

To really understand and be able to put these teachings into practice, we encourage you to attend all four sessions.
