The Components of a Yogic Lifestyle: a 4-week MWC course with Charu

Yoga Sutras

This 4-week course is based on Lama Marut’s translation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The Yoga Sutras are the foundational text of all the yoga traditions of India and are key to understanding the purpose of yoga. We will go through verses from all four chapters to understand the workings of our mind, the eight limbs of yoga and the path to realisation.

Starting 12 Jan – The Eight Components of a Yogic Lifestyle


Starting on the 12th of January, this 4-week course will explore the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the foundational text of the yoga traditions of India. This course forms part of the Middle Way Centre curriculum and is based on Lama Marut’s translation of the text.

Charu will lead us through a selection of the 196 sutras (verses) in the text, drawing on her extensive study and deep understanding of the spiritual traditions of South Asia to help us understand the philosophy of yoga.
