#44_February 2016 – The one you Feed

The one you Feed

One evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: ‘Which wolf wins?’

The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’
Warmest wishes,

Final thoughts

“Love is so exquisitely elusive. It cannot be bought, cannot be badgered, cannot be hijacked. It is available only in one rare form: as the natural response of a healthy mind and healthy heart.”

Charity Day: ASC Chops Vegetables at Willing Hearts on 5 March

Charity Day

Following on from the success of last year’s Charity Day, where we helped pack and distribute food at the Children’s Wishing Well, this year we are organizing another group charity event.

Join us as we help chop vegetables at Willing Hearts. We chose to volunteer at Willing Hearts as they are a secular, non-denominational charity. Their mission is to provide daily meals and other support services to the underprivileged, the needy, and other marginalized members in Singapore.
